LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada gambling regulators say an affiliate of
Deutsche Bank has filed for a license to operate the Cosmopolitan resort on the Las Vegas Strip.
Deutsche Bank declined comment on the application filed last month with the Nevada Gaming Control Board by Nevada VoteCo., a limited-liability company that owns the Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino.
Nevada Property I LLC, a Deutsche Bank affiliate, took over the half-finished project in 2008 after New York developer Ian Bruce Eichner and his company, 3700 Associates LLC, entered foreclosure.
The $3.9 billion, 2,998-room development is projected to open in September 2010 with casino, condominium, hotel and retail components.
It is located between MGM Mirage's CityCenter and Bellagio resort properties.
