Construction Begins on Busy North Las Vegas Road
The North Las Vegas Public Works Department has started construction on Losee Road to improve traffic flow in the core of the city.

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - The North Las Vegas Public Works
Department has started construction on Losee Road to improve traffic flow in the core of the city.
The project includes repaving and re-striping the road from Lake Mead Boulevard to Alexander Road, as well as making improvements to the sidewalks to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, making utility adjustments and improving signage.
To reduce the impact on rush-hour traffic, the city is coordinating weekend "pave-a-thons" and is encouraging drivers to plan alternate routes.
Construction is expected to be complete in February 2010.
The segment of Losee road slated for construction runs roughly parallel to Interstate 15.
