LAS VEGAS (AP) - County and federal firefighters are working to contain a wildfire this morning at Desert Wetlands Park southeast of Las Vegas.
Clark County fire spokesman Scott Allison says no injuries are reported and no structures are threatened by the five-acre blaze near Sam Boyd Stadium.
But he says the fire isn't contained.
Allison says county firefighters and crews from the federal Bureau of Land Management are worried that if winds pick up later in the day they could spread flames through the dry brush.
There's no immediate indication what sparked the fire a little before 4 a.m. in the wetlands where washes from the Las Vegas basin drain toward Lake Mead.
