LAS VEGAS (AP) - Five members of the Aryan Warriors prison gang
have been found guilty on federal racketeering, drug and firearms charges following a seven-week trial.
A jury on Monday convicted James Wallis, Robert Young, Kenneth Krum and Charles Gensemer of racketeering conspiracy charges. Krum, Gensemer and Michael Wayne Yost were also convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Wallis and Gensemer were convicted of firearms charges.
A sixth defendant, Ronnie Lee Jones, was found not guilty on all charges.
Prosecutors allege the Aryan Warriors are a criminal enterprise preaching white supremacy, assaulting inmates, dealing drugs, bribing guards and dominating Nevada prisons through intimidation and illegal moneymaking operations.
