LAS VEGAS (AP) - City officials say the owners of a shuttered Las Vegas casino aren't doing enough to keep it trash-free and aren't moving fast enough in tearing down an unfinished building at the site.

Mayor Oscar Goodman has also told city staff to check the downtown property for code violations.

The Lady Luck closed down more than three years ago and was
supposed to reopen about two years ago following renovations. The
operation, though, sits dark and empty.

Officials with California-based CIM Group, which owns the building, say they're working to respond to changes in the economic climate.

The company has until late December to start a $100 million renovation at the site or risk losing out on the city's offer to provide land for a proposed "mob museum" nearby.
