Woman Accused in Drowning of Daughter

LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 23-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in the drowning of her 5-year-old daughter.
Las Vegas police say Raven Gibbons was booked Thursday into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of murder in the second degree and child neglect with substantial bodily harm.
Police say the girl suffered from severe cerebral palsy. She drowned on June 30 in a bathtub at an apartment complex in LasVegas.
Two other children have drowned this week in the Las Vegas area, both in backyard pools.
Police say there was no evidence of foul play in those cases.
