Nevada Prison Cancels Weekend Visits for Repairs
The Nevada Department of Corrections says sewer repair work will force a suspension of visiting hours this weekend at a prison in southern Nevada.

INDIAN SPRINGS, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Department of Corrections
says sewer repair work will force a suspension of visiting hours
this weekend at a prison in southern Nevada.
Water will be shut off beginning Saturday to the administration building at Southern Desert Correctional Center.
Prisons spokeswoman Suzanne Pardee says that requires inmate visitation to be canceled Saturday and Sunday for the prison, the Three Lakes Valley Conservation Camp and Three Lakes Valley Boot Camp.
She says visiting hours are expected to resume Monday.
The all-male medium security prison, about 45 miles northwest of Las Vegas, has 3,000 beds and serves as the intake center for all new southern Nevada prison inmates.
