THE POLL: Las Vegas Review-Journal opinion poll, presidential
race among likely Nevada voters (5 electoral votes).

THE NUMBERS: Barack Obama 47 percent, John McCain 45 percent

OF INTEREST: Last month, this poll had Republican McCain leading
46-39 percent. Since then, the percentage of undecided voters dropped from 15 percent to 6 percent, and most of those voters swung toward Obama. The economy and jobs was identified by 71 percent of voters as the issue that would most influence their presidential vote.

DETAILS: Conducted Oct. 8-9 by telephone among 625 likely Nevada
voters. Margin of error plus or minus 4 percentage points.
