LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say two men were shot and one killed in an overnight shooting at an apartment complex near Nellis Air Force base.

Police say authorities were called to the scene about 12:15 a.m. Sunday, and discovered the two men shot inside an apartment.

Authorities say the victims were involved in some kind of altercation with at least one other person. Both were transported to a hospital, where one victim was pronounced dead. The other has been treated and released for a gunshot wound to the hand.

Police say they won't release the dead victim's name until his family is notified.
