LAS VEGAS (AP) - Federal marshals in Las Vegas say they arrested
a 20-year-old registered sex offender who had been sought on a
probation violation.

Deshawn Lamar Pearson was being held Friday at the Clark County
jail following his arrest Thursday near the Las Vegas Strip.

Marshals say Pearson was sought for failing to follow probation requirements following his release from jail on a 2007 conviction on charges of pandering of a child and living off the earnings of a prostitute.

Officials say Pearson could face additional probation violations alleging he failed to maintain annual sex offender verification and violated a rule against contact with minors.
