LAS VEGAS (AP) - Trial has been postponed until next year for a former Clark County commissioner accused of perjury for allegedly
attesting that she lived in the district she represented.

Clark County District Court records show Lynette Boggs' trial was postponed from next week to Jan. 26.

Her lawyer, Gabriel Grasso, had said he would seek a postponement due to his involvement in several other trials over the next few months.

Boggs is accused of perjuring herself when she signed candidacy papers in 2006.

Prosecutor Scott Mitchell has said the form clearly states that candidates risk perjury if they willfully give false information.

A grand jury indicted Boggs in August 2007 on four charges, but Judge Donald Mosley in February dropped two charges alleging Boggs improperly paid a babysitter with campaign funds.
