A Democratic House member in Nevada says she's been the target of recorded phone complaints and believes billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson is responsible.

The recent phone calls from national conservative advocacy group Freedom's Watch targeted about 30 Democratic representatives, criticizing their support of the military.

Most of the other representatives are in their first terms or represent largely Republican districts, meaning they could face tough competition in the November election.

But Shelley Berkley is in a solid Democratic district and is in her fifth term. She says Adelson, the chief executive of Las Vegas Sands Corp., is the only person who would have directed the calls her way.

Adelson is a high-profile Republican and supporter of the group.

A Freedom's Watch spokesman denies that Adelson ordered the calls.
