NORTH LAS VEGAS (AP) - A second law enforcement officer is
pursuing civil rights claims against the city of North Las Vegas and its police department.
North Las Vegas corrections officer Marvin Eastman alleges police officers there unlawfully arrested him in May 2006 and booked him into the jail where he has worked for the past nine years.
Eastman is also known as a professional fighter.
He says police used excessive force when they arrested him on
charges of obstructing a police officer and domestic battery in the
parking lot of his son's school. The charges were later dropped.
Las Vegas police officer Augustus Symonette has filed a similar lawsuit.
North Las Vegas officials are not commenting on the allegations.
