LAS VEGAS (AP) - A man who killed five people and critically injured three others in a drunk driving accident has been sentenced to up to 45 years in prison.

20-year-old Ronald Jayne was ordered Friday to pay more than
$200,000 in restitution to the victims of the crash.

Jayne sped through a stop sign in northwest Las Vegas a year ago. Police say he was going about 80 mph in a 35 mph zone when his
car hit a Mercedes sport utility vehicle.

Jayne suffered minor injuries.

In February, he pleaded guilty to eight felony counts of causing death or substantial bodily harm while driving under the influence.
