LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 20-year-old is going to prison for 15 to 45 years for driving drunk and causing a crash that killed five family members and hurt three others a year ago in northwest Las Vegas.

Ronald Mark Jayne Jr. was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in February to eight felony counts of driving under the influence and causing death or substantial bodily harm.

Authorities say Jayne had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent when he ran a red light in an SUV and hit a van with eight people inside on May 5, 2007.

Clark County District Court Judge David Wall also ordered Jayne to pay more than $200,000 in restitution to the family of the infant, two children and adult killed in the wreck.
