Wynn Resorts Executive Resigns

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Wynn Las Vegas chief operating officer Timothy Poster has resigned from a position he assumed less than a month ago.

Wynn Resorts Ltd. spokeswoman Deanna Pettit-Irestone confirmed this week that Poster has left the company, but declined to comment further.

Poster replaced Maurice Wooden as COO last month, when Wooden was promoted to president of the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore casinos.

Wooden filled the vacancy left by former president Marilyn Spiegel, who stepped down from her position in February to focus on other company projects.

Poster became executive vice president of strategy and development for Wynn Resorts in 2011. In the mid-2000s, he helped acquire and renovate the Golden Nugget casino in downtown Las Vegas.
