SANDY VALLEY, Nev. (AP) - Firefighters reported finding the bodies of a woman in her mid-60s and three dogs in the charred rubble of a mobile home that burned in a rural community on the Nevada-California state line.
Clark County spokeswoman Stacey Welling says the fatal fire was reported about 10:15 a.m. Monday in Sandy Valley. That's about 45 miles southwest of Las Vegas.
Welling says firefighters couldn't get inside the mobile home until flames were doused.
The name of the woman wasn't immediately made public, pending notification of relatives by the Clark County coroner.
Welling says police and fire investigators are conducting a joint investigation into the cause of the fire.
