LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police have arrested a third person in the death of a homeless man whose body was found last month in a Las Vegas trash bin.
Jail records show 46-year-old Theresa Allen was arrested Friday on suspicion of murder and conspiracy in the death of 50-year-old Carl Renae Simon.
A police report indicates Simon was beaten, stabbed, stuffed in a suitcase and drowned in an apartment bathtub during a dispute over drugs and money. His body was found Aug. 12 by a man searching the trash east of downtown.
Police previously arrested 37-year-old Peyton Hemingway and 43-year-old Emilio Evalio Arenas, who are suspected in the killing.
Allen told police she witnessed the killing and helped dispose of the body, while another defendant says Allen also helped in the beating.
