LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say they had to use a stun gun to subdue a man accused of fatally stabbing his 49-year-old girlfriend at a Las Vegas home over the weekend.
New details were released Tuesday about the violent confrontation Sunday night that left Sharon Denise Jones dead.
Police responding to a 911 call on Silver Knoll Avenue say they found 53-year-old Ricardo Glasgow straddling Jones in the kitchen, holding a knife and challenging them to shoot him.
Glasgow was arrested on suspicion of murder, kidnapping and resisting a police officer.
Witnesses say the couple had been arguing when Glasgow stabbed Jones. Witnesses say they tried to intervene by begging Glasgow to stop and throwing things at him, but eventually fled to the roof.
Jones was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after.
