LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Las Vegas-area clean water agency that won
a crucial $62 million Nevada Supreme Court ruling that changed the
way the governor and Legislature handled the state budget is
liquidating its assets.

The Clean Water Coalition is down to two employees, no website,
and has a cash-only everything-must-go furniture auction set
Wednesday at its Henderson office.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that a vote Tuesday will
decide whether to dissolve the regional entity and permanently
shelve the $800 million wastewater project it was created to build.

That's despite the agency's May 26 victory in the Nevada Supreme
Court.

Coalition chief Chip Maxfield says he's got mixed emotions.

The former Clark County commissioner says he agrees with those
who hope the cooperative spirit behind the organization won't go to
waste.
