LAS VEGAS, NV - The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating after one pedestrian was killed and a second was seriously hurt on Interstate 15 near the Las Vegas Strip.
KLAS-TV reports both men were struck by vehicles about 5 a.m.
Thursday on the southbound freeway near Russell Road. It's not
clear why they were on the busy highway.
Both men were taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
One was pronounced dead. KLAS reports he was in his 20s and was
from California.
It's the second fatal pedestrian accident on the freeway in the
last week.
Authorities say 46-year-old Daniel Walker was struck and killed about 1:30 a.m. May 20 crossing northbound I-15 at Flamingo Road.
