LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas woman accused of drowning her 3-year-old son in the bathtub reportedly told police it felt like a demon inside of her took over.
Thirty-year-old Christine Allen faces a murder charge in the death of her son, Noah Lane Allen.
Police say Allen called 911 Saturday evening to report her son had drowned, but refused a dispatcher's pleas to take him out of the tub and perform CPR. The boy was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Allen told police she suffers from depression, was divorced and was faced eviction. She says voices in her head told her to drown her son, so she invited him to go swimming and held his head underwater.
She told police the boy would be better off with God.
