LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a 22-hour standoff ended overnight with a mother wounded, at least one police officer slightly hurt and two young children rescued from a southeast Las Vegas home.
Police say SWAT officers entered after hearing a gunshot a little before 10 p.m. Tuesday inside the house near Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street.
Police say the woman retreated to a bathroom with one of the children and shot through the door at police before she was wounded in the head.
She's now hospitalized but is expected to survive.
Police say the woman's husband and 10-year-old son got out of the house before police were called to a domestic dispute a little after 11 p.m. Monday.
The woman stayed barricaded inside all day with her 2- and 3-year-old boys.
