LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas breakfast restaurant is reopening five weeks after a teenager drove his car through the patio and front windows.
The Egg & I opened its doors Monday. It now has eight large boulders between the street and the patio to keep patrons safe from out-of-control vehicles.
Ten people were sent to the hospital in the crash that happened at lunchtime on April 1. Several people were trapped under the vehicle, and victims reported broken bones and other injuries.
The 18-year-old driver of the vehicle was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
Prosecutors say Gage James Lindsey had Xanax and more than three times the legal limit of marijuana in his blood at the time of the crash.
