HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - A Las Vegas man is behind bars after police say he drove his car inside a church in Henderson and caused tens of thousands of dollars' worth of damage.
Henderson police say 51-year-old Kevin Wilson apparently was upset that he couldn't speak immediately with the pastor at Central Christian Church on New Beginnings Drive.
Police told KLAS-TV he plowed his car into the entrance of the church about 5 a.m. Wednesday and continued driving inside the building.
At one point, he got out of his car, smashed furniture and knocked holes in the walls. He then got back into his car and kept driving down a hallway, causing more damage.
Wilson was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on burglary and destruction of property charges.
