LAS VEGAS (AP) - Five Las Vegas-area high schools are being sanitized after norovirus broke out among people using the facilities last week for a youth football tournament.

Clark County School District officials notified parents through robocalls that they'd be doing extra cleaning at Mojave, Western, Canyon Springs, Cheyenne and Chaparral high schools.

Teams played at the schools during the four-day National Youth Football Championships that ended Saturday.

Tournament officials say about 90 to 100 people came down with flu-like symptoms during the event, including more than two dozen who went to the hospital but were quickly released.

Officials with the Southern Nevada Health District concluded Monday that norovirus was the cause of the sickness, but they haven't pinpointed its origin.
