LAS VEGAS (AP) - Southern Nevada home prices were slightly down in April, and so were the number of single-family homes on the market.
The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors reported Thursday that the median home price in April was $192,000, down from $195,000 in February. The price is still up 15 percent from what it was a year ago.
More than 3,200 homes were sold in April, up about 100 from March but down several hundred from a year ago.
Association chief Heidi Kasama says she's not surprised home prices are leveling off because they have been climbing rapidly over the past two years and need to balance out.
She says the number of sales so far this year is down 15 percent from the same time last year.
