LAS VEGAS (AP) - Officials in Las Vegas say the number of passengers coming through McCarran International Airport was slightly down in August.
Data released Friday show about 3.6 million people flew in and out of the airport last month. That's 0.8 percent fewer people than flew in August 2012.
Total airport traffic was flat for the first eight months of 2013, compared with the same period last year.
Domestic traffic was down 1.4 percent in August, while the number of passengers flying internationally increased by 3.4 percent. Domestic carriers make up about 90 percent of traffic.
Of the top five airlines serving the airport, Delta saw the biggest passenger gain in August.
