LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say alcohol may have been a factor in a hit-and-run crash that left two people dead.
Authorities say the crash happened a little after 1 a.m. Wednesday at Desert Inn and Paradise roads.
Police say a Mercedes collided with a pickup, causing the truck to flip and land in the parking lot of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church.
The two people in the truck were killed. Police spokesman Laura Meltzer tells KLAS-TV the driver of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot, but was arrested shortly after.
The crash shut down a portion of Desert Inn Road for hours.
