LAS VEGAS (AP) - Two men have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in an apartment complex just east of the Sahara hotel-casino.

Twenty-three-year-old Matthew Washington Jr. and 22-year-old Martell Moten were booked on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and firing into a building in the Tuesday morning killing.

Police say neighbors reported gunfire about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the complex on Sherwood Street. Officers who arrived say they found a 31-year-old man dead and a man and a woman shot in the ankles inside an apartment.

Authorities say they later found a silver vehicle that was seen leaving the area, and Moten and Washington were inside.

Detectives say the two men admitted they were at the scene of the shooting, but each one blamed the other for carrying it out.
