HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - Las Vegas police say two people were arrested and almost 70 marijuana plants were found in what investigators called a sophisticated growing operation at two Henderson homes.
Police Lt. Laz Chavez tells the Las Vegas Sun (http://bit.ly/XLPU6L ) police also recovered several pounds of marijuana prepared for sale and a handgun in the raids about 3 p.m. Monday in a neighborhood near Horizon Drive and U.S. Highway 95.
A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested. Their names weren't immediately made public.
Chavez says police are concerned about the number of weapons they've found in recent grow house raids, and the danger that neighbors may be caught in crossfire.
