LAS VEGAS (AP) - Attorneys for a former Las Vegas physician-clinic owner blamed in a 2007 hepatitis C outbreak won another delay in his state court trial on charges including murder, racketeering and criminal neglect.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/WqZrww ) that Clark County District Court Judge Valerie Adair said she felt "forced" to push back an Oct. 22 trial date for Dipak Desai (DEE'-pahk deh-SEYE').

The judge set trial for April 22 after defense lawyers argued they were still reviewing a massive amount of evidence in the case.

But Adair also consolidated the case with a second-degree murder case filed after death in April of a 77-year-old man who authorities say became infected with incurable hepatitis C during a clinic outpatient procedure.

Desai and two former clinic nurse-anesthetists have pleaded not guilty.
