LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police in Henderson are identifying three officers who opened fire during a shootout with a gunman who offiicals say shot for no apparent reason at an officer in a patrol car at a traffic accident roadblock.

Henderson police officers Achim Brunette, Jason Dunn and Travis Nusbaum are on paid leave pending a departmental review of the Tuesday morning slaying of 63-year-old Edward John Scheboth.

Each has been with the department at least five years.

Police found three guns on Scheboth, one rifle stashed on his parked motorcycle, and more than 150 other guns of various types at Scheboth's home less than two miles from the shooting scene.

Police spokesman Keith Paul says investigators still haven't found anything that suggests a motive for what Paul characterizes as an ambush.
