LAS VEGAS (AP) - Slightly fewer passengers arrived and departed from McCarran International Airport this July compared with a year earlier.
Airport data released Friday shows nearly 3.6 million passengers used the Las Vegas airport in July, down 0.6 percent from July 2011. Year-to-date figures show the number of passengers using the airport was almost 24.4 million between January and July.
That's up 1.5 percent from the first seven months of 2011.
McCarran ranks as the eighth-busiest airport nationally and 23rd worldwide by passenger volume.
Domestic airlines and helicopter traffic dropped slightly in July, while international traffic was up 9.1 percent.
