LAS VEGAS (AP) - Slightly fewer passengers arrived and departed from McCarran International Airport this December compared with a year earlier.
Airport data released Tuesday shows nearly 3.2 million passengers used the Las Vegas airport last month, down 0.8 percent from December 2011. Traffic was up slightly for the year, with more than 41.5 million passengers using the airport in 2012.
That's up .4 percent from 2011. Traffic was on the rise for the first half of the year, but had been decreasing relative to last year since August.
McCarran ranks as the seventh-busiest airport nationally and 20th worldwide by passenger volume.
