Report: Driver in Bus Stop Crash Had Previous Case

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The 23-year-old driver facing felony drunken driving charges in bus stop crash that killed four people last week had an unresolved court case stemming from a previous speeding ticket.

KLAS-TV reported Tuesday that Gary Lee Hosey Jr. was arrested last October on a warrant issued after he missed his court appearance on the ticket.

He had been accused of driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone and driving without a Nevada license.

Despite a judge's instructions in November, Hosey never completed traffic school and didn't obtain a Nevada driver's license.

Hosey's lawyer, Kristina Wildeveld, said Tuesday that she was aware of the case.

She says Hosey previously had a California driver's license. She didn't immediately know why he didn't complete traffic school or obtain a Nevada license.
