LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities in Las Vegas say a 30-year-old woman is being held on murder and manslaughter charges after a bloody stabbing during a family fight left her pregnant sister-in-law and unborn child dead.
Police Officer Larry Hadfield said Friday that Elinor Indico remains in custody at University Medical Center.
She's being treated for abdominal stab wounds she told police she received in a struggle with 26-year-old Ashley Indico about 6 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment in northwest Las Vegas.
Authorities say Ashley Indico had been 9 months pregnant. She was pronounced dead of neck wounds after police say she was found in a pool of blood in a bedroom.
Police say Elinor Indico moved from Southern California and had been staying for about a month with her brother and sister-in-law.
