LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas family and their newborn quintuplets are traveling from an Arizona hospital to their hometown in shifts.
Two of the Derrico babies were flown to Summerlin Hospital Friday morning, while the remaining three babies were scheduled to arrive in two flights later in the day.
The 2-week-old babies are expected to stay at the Las Vegas hospital for several more weeks.
The family moved to Arizona 22 weeks into Evonne Derrico's pregnancy to be closer to doctors specializing in multiple births. The babies were delivered by Caesarean section on Sept. 6, eight months into the pregnancy.
The two boys and three girls all have names that start with the letter "D." They join four other siblings, including a 7-year-old sister, a 3-year-old brother and 1-year-old twin brothers.
