LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say the suspected killer of a homeless man in Las Vegas over the weekend was seen fleeing the area on a silver BMX-style bicycle.
Metro police detectives say the victim appears to have been sleeping between two buildings on West Owens Avenue north of downtown when he apparently was stabbed multiple times sometime before 11 p.m. Saturday. He later died at UMC Trauma Center.
A passer-by who called police told detectives he confronted the suspect before he pedaled away.
He's described as a clean-shaven, 5-foot-2-inch Hispanic male between the ages of 20 and 25 who weighs about 150 pounds.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Metro Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
