LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a suspected gang member wounded in a shooting at a Las Vegas Strip shopping mall isn't cooperating with investigators.
Las Vegas police Officer Larry Hadfield said Wednesday that detectives were trying to identify the shooter and determine what led to an altercation involving a group of people before a shot was fired about 6 p.m. Tuesday at a food court at the Fashion Show Mall.
Lt. Mark Reddon told reporters at the scene the injured man had a neck wound and ran down an escalator to Las Vegas Boulevard, while two witnesses fled in a blue Dodge vehicle.
Shoppers fled the upscale mall after the gunshot, and some stores in a wing near the shooting scene closed early.
No other injuries were reported.
