Police Investigating Two Cases of Bodies Found

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities have identified a woman whose body was found in a trash bin in northeast Las Vegas earlier this week.

Clark County coroner's officials say the body of 28-year-old Josephine Lynn Butler was found about 11 a.m. Tuesday near Las Vegas Boulevard North and Craig Road. Police say she appears to have died of non-natural causes, although the coroner hasn't released an exact cause.

Police are also investigating after another young woman's body was found at a downtown Las Vegas apartment complex Friday morning.

Authorities say they responded to South Bruce Street about 6 a.m. and found the woman, who appears to have died of non-natural causes.

Police estimate she's also in her late 20s. Her name has not yet been made public.
