Police Find Man With Stolen Clubs, Police Light

MESQUITE, Nev. (AP) - Nevada police breaking up a fight over golf clubs say they found a stolen Los Angeles County Sheriff's radio and flashing police lights in the suspect's car.

Mesquite police say they responded to a call Wednesday that a man suspected of stealing clubs from Ready Golf last week had returned to the scene of a crime.

Police say they broke up a fight between the suspect and the store owner, then searched the suspect's rental car.

They say they found stolen police equipment and items taken from Zion Golf in St. George earlier in the morning.

Police arrested 35-year-old Michael Anthony Kerns of Cerritos, Calif., on suspicion of burglary, battery, possession of stolen property, and impersonating an officer. He's in Clark County jail pending a Tuesday court date.
