HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have identified a 49-year-old man who police say was shot dead while trying to break in to his estranged girlfriend's Henderson apartment.
Clark County coroner's officials say Frank Brzozowski was killed about 2 a.m. Sunday on Green Valley Parkway.
Police say he and the woman had argued at a party, and she took him to his house before returning to her own apartment.
Officials say the woman invited a male acquaintance over because she feared her boyfriend would come back.
Police say the boyfriend later tried to enter her apartment through a window and kept advancing after the male acquaintance warned that he was armed.
The man shot the boyfriend, who died on the scene.
Prosecutors are expected to review the case to determine whether charges should be filed.
