LAS VEGAS (AP) - A police report says a set of bloody clothes linked a casino worker to a 10-year-old girl found dead in North Las Vegas.
The report reveals new details about the stabbing death of Jade Morris, whose body was found Thursday in an undeveloped housing tract.
Police say Morris' mother reported her daughter missing about 1 p.m. Dec. 22, less than a day after the girl left with Brenda Stokes to go Christmas shopping. Police say Stokes had been dating the girl's father for about four years.
Stokes was arrested the night of Dec. 21 after allegedly slashing an employee at the Bellagio casino with razor blades.
Detectives say they later found clothes in Stokes' home with Morris' blood on them.
Stokes is in jail on suspicion of murder.
