LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say they've arrested a man they believe is linked to a series of robberies dating back to March.
Authorities say they responded to a robbery call about 6:30 p.m. Monday on North Rancho Drive. They surrounded the area and arrested 18-year-old Laron Johnson on suspicion of armed robbery, burglary and kidnapping.
Police say they believe Johnson is connected to the "Quick Pinch" robbery series, which they highlighted to the media and public last week.
Officer Jose Hernandez said the gunman in those robberies wore a thick knit mask and displayed a gun.
Hernandez said the robberies have taken place during early morning hours of 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. at businesses on the west side of the city.
