Parents Indicted in Fire That Killed Three Kids

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The parents of three children killed in a Las Vegas mobile home fire are accused of being too impaired by methamphetamine to rescue their sleeping children from the blaze.

A Clark County District Court grand jury on Wednesday indicted 26-year-old Amy Hatzenpiller and 22-year-old Shane Gouailhardou (gail-HARD'-oh) on second-degree murder and felony child abuse and neglect charges

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Judge Linda Marie Bell issued an arrest warrant for Hatzenpiller and Gouailhardou, and set bail at $600,000.

Gouailhardou's 2-year-old son, David, and Hatzenpiller's children, 2-year-old Skylar Lafia, and 15-month-old Aryana Lafia, died in the June 15 fire at a mobile home park in northeast Las Vegas.

The couple was outside the burning mobile home when firefighters arrived. A neighboring trailer also burned.
