LAS VEGAS (AP) - A man is dead, two other people are wounded, and Las Vegas police are looking for a silver vehicle seen leaving the area after a shooting in an apartment complex just east of the Sahara hotel-casino.

Police Lt. Ray Steiber says neighbors reported gunfire about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, and police arrived to find one man dead and another man and a woman wounded inside an apartment on Sherwood Street.

Steiber says the injured victims were taken to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center with injuries that aren't believed to be life-threatening.

Steiber says multiple shots were fired from the courtyard into the apartment, and witnesses reported seeing a silver vehicle leave the area.

No names were immediately made public, and Steiber says a motive isn't yet clear.
