LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say an officer in a marked patrol car on the way to an emergency call and a woman driving an SUV were hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police say the male officer was taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries and the woman remained at the scene with minor injuries after the crash just before 6:30 p.m. Monday at Charleston and Nellis boulevards.
Police say emergency lights and siren were operating on the marked Ford Crown Victoria patrol car when it entered the intersection east of downtown against a red traffic signal.
That's where it collided with the 1994 Ford Bronco.
Police didn't immediately identify the officer or the woman.
They say the crash remains under investigation.
