BOULDER CITY, Nev. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a 23-year-old North Las Vegas man who went missing in the waters of Lake Mohave over the weekend.
National Park Service officials say the man was last seen Sunday afternoon while he was swimming about a mile north of Cottonwood Cove.
Witnesses say the man and two other people had jumped from a boat to go swimming when the watercraft drifted away. People aboard the boat were able to rescue two of the swimmers, but didn't find the third.
The missing man hadn't been wearing a life jacket.
Search and rescue efforts resumed on Monday using side scan sonar and divers. Rangers say the water in the area is 50 or 60 feet deep.
