LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say criminal charges aren't being sought in the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old Henderson girl by another teen inside a southeast Las Vegas home.
The Clark County coroner said Wednesday that Brooklyn Mohler died at University Medical Center in Las Vegas shortly after the shooting about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home Little Crow Avenue.
Officer Bill Cassell says Las Vegas police homicide detectives are calling the shooting a tragic accident.
Cassell says the other teenage girl was handling the gun when it discharged.
Police had said another juvenile was also in the house at the time.
